He also has preached several times from the national pulpit of the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, New York.In addition to his pastoral ministry and his special interest in the Psalms, he has been deeply involved in community and social justice ministries, believing that “faith without works is dead.”
Currently residing in Harrisburg and happily involved in theChrist Lutheran Church there, he is married to Lori and, together, they are proud parents and grandparents. In addition to his family, Sweet enjoys daily walks through woods and neighborhoods, reading, writing, meeting with friends for lunch, lingering on the nearby Gettysburg battlefield, and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles in the warm months and the Buffalo Bills in the cold ones!
